戦争被災者用の施設の子どもたちは、ガールスカウトの救援物資セットの包みが開封され、配られるのを今か今かと楽しみに待っている。写真左の２人のガールスカウトは学校の制服を着ているが、スカウトであることを示すバッジをつけている。梱包物の開封を手伝うために待っている。この救援セットには様々な年齢層のための衣服が入っている。これはこれらの孤児や孤児のような子どもたちにとって大きな励ましである。彼女たちは、子どもたちに、このセットに入っている中身、誰が送ってくれたかを説明する。

Tokyo, Japan 1948 Some eager, some impatient, the children in a home for war sufferers await the opening and distribution of the Girl Scout kits. At the left two Girl Scouts, in school uniforms but with badges to indicate they are Scouts, wait to help open the bales. The kits contain clothing for various age groups and will mean a great deal to these orphans and half -orphans. The Girl Scouts explain to the recipients what is in the kits and who sent it.
