ワークキャンプに集まる子どもたち
われわれの友人たちが困難を切り抜けるのを助けるために、学生らは、材木の切断、溝掘り、窓枠の修理、家の建築、子供たちとの遊び、親との話し合い、コミュニティと一緒の自助プロジェクトの開催に参加している。これらは多くの国の多くの人々と一緒に行う世界的なワークキャンプ参加者の作業である。しかし、最も実りあることは、溝掘りや家の建築ではなく、理解、協力、そして励ましの精神である。そうした精神を植え付けるには、一緒に生活し、一緒により良い世界を作り、互いに助け合うことが一番である。
To help our friends to learn to help themselves students join in sawing, digging a ditch, mending a window frame, building a home, playing with the children, talking with parents, organizing self-help projects with a community. These are the jobs of the work campers of the world with many peoples in many lands. But not so much is it the ditch dug or home built that mostly enriches, it is the spirit of understanding, cooperation and encouragement that gives the greatest /gains by living together and bettering the world together, helping one another.
