母子寮の生活
行く場所がなく、自活できない母と子のための施設。母親は１ヶ月＄１９（１９ドル） を受け取る。彼女たちはこの額で、家族の食べ物と衣服をできるだけ手に入れ、家族を養う。ここには９０人が住んでいて、５家族で１部屋を共用している。こんな状況であっても、母親にはそれぞれ自分の家庭があり、毎日、太陽の下に布団を干し、そこが家族の住まいになっている。子どもたちにとっては、遊び場はあるが、木々も草地もなく、夜には星がかすかに光る。
This is an institution for mothers and children who have no place to go and who are unable to provide for themselves. The mothers receive ■19 a month. With this she feeds, cloths and cares for her family as best she can. 90 people live here. 5 families are to a room. But even though the conditions each mother has her home-the bedding which she takes out to sun every day becomes the families home. For the children there is a playground but there are no trees or grass and at night the stars shine faintly.
