Carrying all of their clothing and personal possessions ashore at the Sasebo Navy Base, Japan, these repatriates from China are destined for very thorough going over with disinfectant and decontamination sprays. Here, however, they set foot on the soil of Japan for the first time, in some cases, since the Japs first moved into North China and Manchuria in 1931.
